The Centro Tecnológico CTC, partner of the AGRO4AGRI project, has shared exciting progress in the development of biochar-based solutions for sustainable agriculture. According to CTC, the advances achieved in projects like AGRO4AGRI have positioned the center as a reference entity for generating new applications for biochar, a material with significant potential to improve soil health and reduce environmental impact. 

The Role of Biochar in Sustainable Agriculture 

Biochar is a carbon-rich material produced from biomass through pyrolysis. Its use in agriculture offers multiple benefits: 

• Enhances soil fertility and water retention. 

• Captures carbon, contributing to climate change mitigation.
