AGRO4AGRI Advances Spotlighted at AINIA’s Innovation Workshop in Valencia
At the end of March 2025, the AGRO4AGRI project took center stage during the AINIA Technology Transfer Workshop, held at the Parque Tecnológico de Paterna in Valencia, Spain. The event brought together researchers and industry professionals to foster collaboration and innovation across biotechnology, food and packaging, digital, and environmental technologies.
Dr. Paloma Juarez Ortega, coordinator of AGRO4AGRI, presented the project’s latest advancements, highlighting its mission to revolutionize plant nutrition and protection through nano and biotechnology-based solutions. AGRO4AGRI is part of the Horizon Europe Programme, with a €5.3 million budget and a consortium of 12 partners from 7 countries.
The project aims to (i) enhance fertilizer efficiency using biobased controlled delivery systems, (ii) develop species-specific biopesticides based on RNAi technology, (iii) align with the Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) framework and (iv) support the European Green Deal, Farm to Fork Strategy, and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
During the workshop, AGRO4AGRI was presented alongside seven other ongoing R&I projects coordinated by AINIA, showcasing the institute’s commitment to technology transfer and cross-sector innovation. The interactive format allowed companies to engage directly with researchers, explore collaboration opportunities, and express interest in future initiatives.
