Partners from the AGRO4AGRI consortium have published a scientific article titled “Societal Readiness Thinking Process 2.0: A Tool for Responsible Innovation in Agricultural Technologies” in the journal Science and Engineering Ethics (Springer). This publication introduces a framework to ensure that agricultural innovations are developed responsibly, considering societal needs and ethical implications.

The article presents the Societal Readiness Thinking Process 2.0, designed to help researchers and innovators:
- Anticipate societal challenges early in technology development.
- Integrate stakeholder perspectives into decision-making.
- Align innovations with Safe and Sustainable by Design (SSbD) principles and EU regulatory requirements.
The approach is applied to emerging agricultural solutions such as biostimulants, RNA-based technologies, and nanoparticles, ensuring these innovations are scientifically sound, socially acceptable, and environmentally responsible.
